PROMET FOUNDRY greener than before
The most extensive modernization and greening in the more than 100-year history of our Vsetín foundry PROMET FOUNDRY took almost two years and cost more than 400 million crowns. We focused on minimizing emissions and reducing energy consumption.
- We were able to reduce dust in and around the plant by more than 90 percent! Overall, we have improved the environmental performance of the operation and ensured that our foundry meets current environmental standards.
- We have installed new technologies - for example, blasting equipment, core production equipment, an annealing furnace, a manual moulding line, a paint booth and new overhead cranes.
- We equipped the dust technologies with efficient extraction and filtration equipment.
- We renovated the building envelope and insulated the entire building.
Our colleagues involved in this project deserve a great deal of thanks and respect for the fact that the changes were carried out without interrupting production.
