A sweet shop has opened in the building where we have our Ostrava offices. They have delicious cakes, pastries and other treats. All the more reason to visit us in the centre of Ostrava.
This is the first branch of the Vatsak confectionery chain in the Czech Republic, which has its roots in Ukraine and is already very popular in Slovakia. So if you're in the mood for new flavours, come on in. They are open every day.
And what do customers like best in Ostrava? "Everything! But mostly apricot and cherry filled rolls. And I recommend the chocolate cake," Olena Vovchak, the shop assistant, invites you to the shop.
Vatsak confectionery opened its first shop a quarter of a century ago in the small town of Mohyliv-Podilskyi in the Vinnytsia region. Today it has 1,000 outlets in Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Moldova and Slovakia. Our neighbours like it so much that today there are 28 branches in operation. Another sweet shop of this brand is planned in Brno.
